Too many people spend their best remaining years still working hard and postponing the life they actually want. We believe life can start earlier. A simpler, freer life is possible while you still have the health and energy to enjoy it. A well-chosen boat can be one of the best ways to make that shift.
We are Maria and Jarle
In 2025, at the age of 53, we sold the house, left the traditional path, and moved aboard our 1982 Nauticat 38, Maja. Not as a holiday — as a real change of life.
On this website and on our YouTube channel we document the whole process openly: the real engineering work, the honest costs, the daily realities of living aboard, and the small freedoms that gradually replace the old pressure.
Our Boat – S/Y Maja
Maja is a classic Finnish pilothouse motorsailer. She is solid, comfortable, and built for long-distance cruising. We use her as both our home and our floating workshop.
